Irvin John Donjon, 95, of Red Bud, IL, born September 15, 1928, in Prairie du Rocher, IL, died Monday, July 8, 2024, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Donjon retired as millwright operator for General Motors after 25 years. He was a United States Navy veteran. Irvin was a devoted member of New Beginnings Church, Belleville, IL. He loved the Lord and enjoyed visiting different nursing homes to spread the Lord's message. He was a member of the VFW in Belleville and a member of the Belleville Local Carpenters Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Isabelle, nee Bise, Donjon; his first wife, Margaret Donjon, nee Karslian; two sisters, Wilmarth Sedlacek and Norma Jean Streb; and a grandson, William "Billy" Combs.

Surviving are his wife, Imogene "Jean" Donjon, nee Spillman; seven children, Denise (Jim) Benson, Glen Donjon, Suzanne (David) Davenport, John (Pat) Donjon, Mary (Roland) Ikharehon, Carol Worley, and Rick (Joann) Donjon; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several dear nieces and nephews.
