From District #14 Commander:

Comrades -- we made a minor correction to the minutes.  It was our intent to specifically highlight District 14 membership progress and, while doing so, we created a floating box of emphasis that did not align with the intended tabular data prior to send.  The corrected copy is attached -- and specifically allows us to take a moment here to help focus your attention on the scope, health and expansion of our primary resource -- HUMAN CAPITAL...  the stuff that improves our ideas, initiative, enthusiasm -- and future.

Indeed, at the time of yesterday's report, District 14 sat at 94.34% membership as a whole; 14 of 17 Posts are above 90%; 8 of 17 Posts are above 95%; 4 of 17 Posts are above 100%; and two Posts had already exceeded 102% -- well done by Belleville Post 1739 and East St Louis Post 3480 on becoming AS/AA-eligible!  Moreover, District 14 leads all Districts in the Department of Illinois on membership percentage; has more new annuals than any other District besides the At-Large District (District 99); and has twice as many New/Reinstated Life Members (N/R LM) as any other District besides the At-Large District – where we have 70% more than District 99!  In total, and at that point yesterday, District 14 needed 224 paid-up annuals or new/reinstated members to achieve 102% and sat tied for sixth in the National All-American membership standings in Division 3, which encompasses all Districts in our size category worldwide.

Here we are, just 24 hours later and updated statistics (not updated in draft minutes) show the District with 3 additional members since yesterday (1 ea at Scott, Chester and O'Fallon) and an improved overall membership percentage of 94.45%.  However, upon reviewing the Division 3 standings, District 14 as a whole actually dropped to 7th place worldwide by fractions of a percentage point.  Bottomline, Divisional standing are always volatile right to the end -- and we only say this because it shows our Comrades are working worldwide.  We ask that you continue to work with our colleagues worldwide to bring in the stuff that improves our ideas, initiative, enthusiasm -- and future...  HUMAN CAPITAL... ii is happening in District 14 for all to see...

See you Sunday!

ON BEHALF OF THE COMMANDER
